Cabbage in May

Just a quick post to give an update on my garden! Everything is still alive, however the watermelon and cantaloupe are not really growing. I’m not going to stress over it because we are trying lots of new things this year and I am just trying my best to keep as many things going as possible. Everything else looks great, except, of course the things that the cabbage loopers got to munching on. They are still alive also and looking better now that I am on top of that. Anyway, here goes…. We don’t have a gutter on the...

Compost in the Trailer

The other day I posted about how easy it is to compost. For those of you who still do not believe that you can do it, I have news for you…. Many of you may know that last year we lost a very large branch out of one of our pecan trees that took out my garden. So we chopped it up, and piled it up in my mother’s trailer…. Immediately after, the vehicle that was being used to move the trailer was found to be beyond repair, so my laziness took over as usual and we piled the...

Purex Crystals

As mentioned in a previous post, this month I got notification that I have been chosen as a Purex Insider and they sent me a trial size and a coupon for a regular size (28 oz) bottle of Purex Crystals. Haul for 2-2-11

Okay folks! I didn't save as much today as I could have because I had some things that I needed to get for which I did not have a coupon and had to pay full price. I tried to get those things on sales where I could, but sometimes things happen and when you are just beginning, as I am and you don't have a stockpile to draw from there are going to be things in the beginning that you just have to buy at full price. But regardless, I couldn't fit it all in one pic so...
