I have been having a serious problem in my garden with slugs. It appears that they are only going after my spinach, but I try to grow as much spinach as possible because of the amount needed to make anything at all. UPDATE: It has been 36 hours since we first planted two types of lettuce seeds and approximately 24 hours since we planted the one type of lettuce and the spinach seeds. All 3 different types of lettuce have already busted through the seeds and are about to pop out of the rockwool! The packages (that are based on dirt growing) said that the seeds should germinate in 8 to 11 days, so we are way ahead of schedule for the sprouts already!
